Elderly Farmers in My Hometown

In the Yimeng Mountains, particularly in Daigu Township, elderly residents endure harsh conditions without pensions or medical assistance. Decades of managing peach orchards, combined with frequent exposure to pesticides, have resulted in a high incidence of cancer in old age. Years of grueling labor have also caused severe spinal problems, leaving many bedridden or paralyzed in their later years.

With no access to proper medical care, their later years are filled with pain and financial struggles, making it nearly impossible to receive the treatment they need. Through my paintbrush, I hope to bring a small sense of comfort and warmth to their lives.
